Critic Genealogy
with Sophie Parker with Perry Carrison

Does your working career depend on your ability to be “CREATIVE?” Are you expected to come up with creative solutions, products, or advertising campaigns, yet you find yourself stymied by your own self-doubt? All people who work in creative roles in organizations wrestle with their inner critic, usually trying to quiet the implacable “expert”.  Some of us find this inner critic takes huge amounts of energy to “manage” just so that we can get some work done. Yet, it¹s likely that your critic has her or his helpful side as well.

Find out what gifts lay buried in your Artist’s ancestral vaults.

This day long retreat is for working creative teams or people wanting to re-energize their creative selves. Join us in a creative, interactive and intuitive process to discover and manage your inner critic. Together we will explore writing, play, collage, improvisational theatre, story telling and other activities designed to move ourselves to a better relationship with our critic. Be prepared to make a contract with yourself to change old behaviors and perspectives.

An Introduction to The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator: Just How Different Are We?

Most of us would agree that everyone is different, but few of us understand just how different perceptions can be. Can you separate a person's intent from his or her style, the content of a disagreement from the context of a personality? The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is a self-report personality inventory designed to give you information about the unique strengths and potential weaknesses in your style of communicating, process of making decisions or in using information. By understanding and managing your own type and recognizing differences in others, you can manage conflict in better, less stressful ways. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is the most widely used tool used in establishing psychological differences, or "types." This seminar is ideal for those people experiencing communication break downs and conflicts at work, either in peer, supervisor or client relationships. This seminar includes:

  • administering the Indicator
  • verifying true type through group exercises
  • learning and using the four temperaments
  • recognizing type/temperament-based communication blocks
  • building better teams using type/temperament

½ day/1 day

"I find her work to be authentic. We share many of the same values including honesty, integrity and responsibility. She is thoughtful, emotionally available and has a great sense of what the group needs, including time to enjoy each other in playful ways!"
